The illustrations have an organic, tactile feel inspired by the label’s name and location

Client: Marine Parade
Project: Branding and promotional design for independent record label Marine Parade

The label was set up by DJ and producer Adam Freeland, named after a street in his hometown of Brighton, England. The label was a distinctly personal venture, heavily influenced by Freeland's life and work, so my designs were envisioned to amplify that.

I experimented with loose sketches, ink painting and a hand-rendered typeface (no mean feat!) – with the aim of creating the tactile feel of a sketchbook. The illustrations, type rendering and the card stock, create a sea-inspired aesthetic, inspired by the label's name and location.

The house bag was printed in two spot colours onto the coloured, recycled stock.
